The Gulfport School District will host its annual Kindergarten Preview Day on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at all elementary schools.
This event is designed to welcome incoming kindergarten students and their families, offering an opportunity to visit campuses, explore classrooms, meet teachers, and begin building connections ahead of the upcoming school year. Preview Day helps ease the transition into kindergarten by allowing students to become familiar with their new learning environment.
Families will also have the opportunity to complete the kindergarten registration process. Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, to enroll.
Parents and guardians should be prepared to provide the required documents, including a certified copy of the birth certificate, two current proofs of residency, the child’s Social Security card, and Mississippi Immunization Form 121.
Registration will take place at each student’s zoned school:
Anniston Avenue Elementary
Bayou View Elementary
Pass Road Elementary
Central Elementary
West Elementary
28th Street Elementary
For additional information, families are encouraged to contact their child’s school or Dr. Rhonda Clark at rhonda.clark@gulfportschools.org.
