Congratulations to all of our amazing Bayou View Middle School students who attended the Sounds of the South Music Camp! 🎵 We are incredibly proud of these students for spending their summer growing as musicians, learning new skills, and representing BVMS so well. Huge congratulations to Mrs. Lee's incredible 8th-grade science class! 🌟
They teamed up with the Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) and filmmaker Anthony Williams who created a captivating documentary. The film goes behind the scenes, documenting the hard work, creativity, and science that went into their National Geographic Slingshot submissions.
As a massive bonus, this amazing documentary was officially screened at the FishEye Film Festival last week! 🏆🍿

On June 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., community members are invited to share photographs, memories, and stories that highlight the rich history of Gulfport Schools. Photos can be scanned and preserved, while students from Pass Road Elementary and Central Elementary's QUEST Camp Explorers of Excellence: STEAM Adventures for Gifted and Talented Kids will conduct interviews to capture firsthand accounts of school traditions, favorite teachers, championship teams, and other memorable moments.
This unique project brings together Gulfport's past and present while helping preserve local history for future generations.
